Diploma in Chemical Engineering

The Diploma in Chemical Engineering is designed to engage students for at least 35 credit hours of basic sciences and mathematics, at least 25 credit hours of engineering sciences, engineering design, and at least 15 credit hours of communications skills, humanities, social sciences. Laboratory hands-on experience and emphasis on design are important elements that are integrated throughout the curriculum.

The curriculum is designed to grant students the Diploma of Engineering upon the successful completion of the two-year program.

  • An ability to communicate ideas effectively in both oral and written forms.
  • Proficiency in core Chemical Engineering working knowledge, including safety and environmental aspects.

To graduate with a Diploma in Chemical Engineering, students must satisfactorily complete 75 credits taken over two academic years, with an overall minimum average of 65 percent. The University, College, and Program requirements are as given in the following table:
